As with most things in life, it is important to be 100% certain that you understand what you are doing.
Nowhere is this more necessary than when it comes to cosmetic procedures, especially when those procedures revolve around your teeth! And, if there’s a brace involved, well, all the more reason to double-check every point.

But what are some of the most common questions our dental team is asked about Invisalign in Cornwall? Read on to find out!
How do they differ from regular braces?
There are many ways Invisalign in Cornwall differs from traditional metal braces.
For starters, as the name suggests, they are invisible, allowing you to undertake the orthodontic procedure without drawing unwanted attention from others.
Secondly, they offer a faster treatment time (on average) as well as being easier to use overall. There are many other ways they differ, which our team will be happy to discuss with you!
What happens during the fitting?
A 3-D scan of your teeth will need to be taken by our team in order for the set of trays to be created. Luckily, there is no impression that needs to be taken using a dental clay!
Once this has been done, you will need to wear the aligners for between 20-22 hours per day, or as long as our orthodontic specialist recommends. You will need to change your aligners every 2 weeks depending on your orthodontic issues, and you will need to visit our team about every 6 weeks.
How do I keep the aligners clean?
Simple; these plastic trays can be cleaned using a soft-bristled toothbrush and a rinse under luke-warm water.
Do not use boiling water to remove stains and refrain from using mouthwash to clean them.
How long will the process take?
While it was mentioned earlier that the process using this invisible brace may be faster, this will depend on the complexity of your orthodontic case.
However, this treatment takes on average between 6-9 months, but talk to our team about how long it may take to straighten your smile.
Isn’t it expensive?
While invisible braces may seem more expensive than traditional ones, due to shorter treatment times, they are often cheaper to undertake. Also, our team at Archway Dental are able to offer suitable patients 0% financing options, allowing you to break down the final cost into smaller, monthly instalments. Perfect!
